I am jerrell gibbs

I am a Visual Artist residing in Baltimore, Maryland. I discovered my artistic side at a very young age, I can remember drawing and sketching in elementary school. Once I entered my college years I was more focused on sports and business management. This wasn't satisfying to me and short lived. I made the decision to drop out of school in efforts to explore my creative side, which led me back to my passion for art.

One year for Fathers Day my wife and daughter surprised me with an easel, since then I haven't been able to put my paint brushes down! Finally making the decision to pursue a career as a professional painter. Which lead me to create my first piece. My work spans from sketches, paintings, and tattoos.

My most significant accomplishments is the "Freddie Gray Mural", which is located in my home town Baltimore. This gave me an amazing opportunity to participate in honoring Freddie Gray's family, in the wake of the black lives matter campaign. Bringing to light the continuous ongoing problem of police brutality in this country.

I have created custom artwork for celebrities such as "Wale", "Currensy", and "Mac Miller". Currently my artwork can be found in a local bookstore "Ukazoo Books" in Towson, Maryland. It's my goal to continue to create art that ignites the inner spark in everyone to make a positive change for the world.
